I have only recently become a parish councillor initially by co-option and then formally voted on to the council at the public election held in May 2023. I run a mobile hairdresser and although I had a strong client base at my previous address, I have gradually been building up clients locally which reduces my travelling and makes me feel much more a part of the village. I have really enjoyed life in Farnham since moving here and feel that we are very lucky to have such a strong community spirit. My first real involvement was, as a member of the parish council, helping to organise the Coronation celebrations last year.
