As part of the celebrations for the Royal Marriage, Farnham Primary School staged a mock wedding when two pupils went through the process of getting married, going through the church wedding service, signing the wedding register (which all took place at St Mary’s Church, Farnham) and then taking part in the wedding breakfast back at Farnham School. The event took place on a warm sunny afternoon and attracted the local press (Bishops Stortford Independent) and also the cameras from Anglia Television who transmitted the film in the local new programme, Anglia News, that same evening.
